Straight No Chaser - Carol of the Bells

I am so glad to find this song a capella. This holiday season I find myself too tired to even think of listening to an orchestra... but this is my favorite carol.  I love sculpture and this song actually seems like a sculpture to me.  It has form created by the precise tone and tight enunciation.  It builds.  It has corners.  I feel like I can touch this song.  Touch the sound.

Most of the time this month I have felt like shouting, "Come on New Years Eve!" but I didn't because I've just been too tired to suck in enough air to shout..

I can handle listening to this song.. but I don't look at the video.  Not yet.  Not right now.  There is just too much to poke fun at... you know; their tight little brown suits, standing lined up in a row, the hands, the eyebrows... I could go on, but actually I can't..  I just don't have it in me this month...  so I won't look.  I'll just listen.

I want to wish you a merry Christmas so here you go.
"Merry Christmas to you."
Please read it as a whisper and accept it with a kiss.
Imagine my kiss so light on your lips
you can barely feel it.
But it's there.
My wish and my kiss are full of
all the love in my heart
for your very best Christmas....
I'm just keeping it quiet this year
so I can breathe.
